The Direct & Dominate series mainly follows the fictional S.H.A.R.D subfaction.
A sub-faction of GDI. Originally named S.H.A.R.T. they specialize in Special Hit and Run Tactics.
It was eventually renamed (at great expense) to S.H.A.R.D. (Special Hit and Run Division) to minimize embarrassment.
A faction comprising of fairly low tech but quick units.
The Direct & Dominate series mainly follows the fictional Viktor Heavy Industries subfaction, the Noddy faction which mainly deals with experimental technologies.
Units belonging to this subfaction are commonly referred to as ‘Viktorian’
